Highlights of the Week
A Day in Paris
One of the most magical days of the trip is spent in the heart of France’s vibrant capital. Pupils explore iconic landmarks and take a boat ride on La Seine, seeing the city from a fresh perspective as they glide beneath historic bridges and past grand façades.
A Morning in a French School
A truly immersive cultural experience awaits when pupils spend a day at a local French school, meeting their pen pals and taking part in lessons and activities alongside new friends. This is language learning in action; conversational, fun and at times hilarious!
Baking Like the French
In a hands-on session at a traditional French bakery, pupils don aprons and learn to make croissants and pain au chocolat from scratch. Flour-covered smiles and delicious results make this a firm favourite.
Visiting a Goat Farm
The rhythms of French rural life come alive as we visit a working goat farm. Here, pupils learn about animal care, cheese production and farm life; and of course, they get to meet the goats!
A Taste of French Cuisine
No French adventure would be complete without sampling local food, including the bravest of delicacies! Many pupils try escargots (snails), laughing together as they sample something new and discovering that French cuisine is full of surprises.
Beyond the Syllabus
This trip isn’t just about seeing new places, it’s about living the language, building resilience, developing friendships, and gaining a broader perspective of the world. Pupils return home more confident in their French, more curious about the world, and buzzing with memories of shared experiences.
