Clubs at Saint Ronan's - N&PP
Nursery & Pre-Prep Clubs
These sessions can be booked online, via the Parent Portal, when the bookings become available.
Clubs are an important part of life at Saint Ronan’s and offer opportunities for children to have fun, while learning and having new experiences. The following Clubs are currently on offer.
Nursery & Reception Mini Clubs
Mini Club children can enjoy a longer school day by staying for a Mini Club. Experienced, qualified Early Years staff will care for our youngest children while they enjoy their tea and play in the familiar and comforting surroundings of the Nursery. There will be time to relax during story time, as well as having fun with friends.
Pre-Prep After school clubs
We appreciate that, for busy parents, a 3.30pm finish to the school day is a little too early. We therefore offer an extended day, until 5.10pm. Years 1 & 2 children can join in with After School Clubs, which run after school every day and include a sandwich supper.
These are the Clubs on offer:
Art Club
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYear 1 & Year 2 – Mondays from 3.30 - 5.10pm
Children are provided with an opportunity to learn different artistic techniques during this Club.
Ballet Extra
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerNursery, Reception, Years 1 & 2 - Wednesdays with Stacey Caister
Girls and boys can learn ballet in the Great Space on the sprung floor. Tuition is provided by Stacey Caister. This runs from 3.30 – 4.00pm for Year 1 and Year 2, 1.00-1.20pm for Reception and 12.30-1pm for Nursery.
Chess Club
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYear 1 & Year 2 – Mondays from 3.30-5.10pm with Sarah Underhill
The children learn the basic skills of chess and play fun games against their friends.
Ball Games Club
Terms: Autumn & SpringYear 1 and Year 2 - Tuesdays from 3.30-5.10pm
Boys and girls can extend their Football, Netball and Cricketing skills in the Founder’s Hall.
Forest School Club
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYear 1 & Year 2 - Thursdays from 3.30-5.10pm
Whatever the weather, the children will begin their activities in Tongswood, learning to tie knots, make shelters and dens, collecting and exploring.
Thursday & Friday Fun Club
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYear 1 & Year 2 - Thursdays and Fridays from 3.30-5.10pm
Children can enjoy a variety of activities and games that we don't have time for in the busy school day!
Fun on the Farm
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYears 1 & Year 2 - Mondays from 3.30-5.10pm
The children can enjoy some extra time on the Farm. They might be collecting eggs, feeding and cleaning out or helping Debbie with other jobs to keep the animals safe and healthy.
Mini Club
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerNursery & Reception • Every day from 3.30-5.10pm
A range of activities will be provided for the youngest children by the teachers who care for them every day.
Mountain-Biking
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYear 2 - Monday & Wednesday with Jamie Lynch from 3.30-5.10pm
After a health & safety briefing, Jamie will take the children down to Tongswood to try their off-roading skills.
Children need to bring their own bike and helmet for this Club
STEAM
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYear 1 and Year 2 - Wednesdays with Kate Banks from 3.30-5.10pm
A fun and exciting way to boost enjoyment and learning across Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Wind Down Wednesday
Terms: Autumn, Spring & SummerYear 1 & Year 2 – Wednesdays from 3.30-5.10pm
The children will be able to choose from a variety of activities and games that they never have time for in a busy school day!
A wonderful school providing children with truly magical experience. So happy we made decision to send our daughter there. We just wish she could have stayed there longer.
